Spork Media

I collaborated with the crew at Spork Media, a Social Media Marketing company, on the design of their logo and initial branding elements. I’m looking forward to expanding the brand across multiple mediums and possibly trying to print on wet naps, for promotional purposes.
HDMG Branding
While on staff at HDMG, I lead a team of creatives in refreshing the company’s identity. Using the existing logo, we used the 20th anniversary as the launching pad for the new identity. A huge thanks to everyone at HDMG for everything.
Book in a Box

I recently collaborated with three other designers, Molly Hein, Catherine Grothe and Christina Rimstad, to create a conceptual response to Emil Ruder’s text Typographie: A Manual of Design. Gaining inspiration from traveling suitcase exhibitions, we expanded the book into an educational toolbox that includes a poster, stamp kit, motion graphic DVD, and a series of [...]
Gut Checks

This lifestyle brand started as a survey of one man’s consumption, and has morphed into a casual conversation about human health fundamentals. To facilitate these conversations, numerous informational graphics have been designed, examining and poking fun at one man’s gastirc intake. The magazine insert designs are utilized as a vehicle to further the conversation of [...]
Business Depressors

This is my take on the traditional business card. The design is intended to grab the viewer’s attention, with the atypical medium, and then maintain their attention, with the multiple layers of thought that went into the overall design of the piece. This project wouldn’t have been possible without the help and expertise of the [...]
Museum Identity

I was fortunate enough to collaborate with Joe Kocik and Catherine Grothe, two incredibly talented Twin Cities’ designers, on the re-branding of the National Museum of Iceland. The decision to keep the identity in the native language was made early on, which inspired the design concept of making the “old”, new again. We broke down [...]
Holiday Card

These aromatic packages were designed as an alternative to the traditional holiday mailer we all know and love. I wanted to put the recipients in the holiday spirit, while also putting a smile on their face. What better way to do so, than with an explosion of pine and a fresh take on holiday carols.
Logos

This collection of logo designs is a good representation of my design method. My goal with each piece is to mold fundamental communication and insightful conceptualization into an alternative solution for typical design problems.
Lights On PSA

This poster was designed to inform the viewer of the falsified urban myth centered around traffic-related gang violence and their involvement. The visual collaboration between the headline and the iconic headlight symbols were utilized to convey this message.
Ecological Guidezines

These trusty little guidezines were created as a set, developing a cohesive identity on the exterior, and then delving into the individual designers’ quirks with the layout and design of the interior pages.
ABBA Poster

This poster was designed to communicate the charismatic personality of the band while also delivering a solid message of the concert’s location. To do so, the band name was spelled out using the museum’s admission tags, delivering both messages with one application.
MCAD Catalog

This award-winning catalog was designed to inform prospective students about the Certificate in Graphic Design program at MCAD. The catalog’s informational, self-mailing booklet is wrapped in 10 tear away cards that provide tips and introductions from current students.
